Winter Wedding Portraits at Chautauqua Park
Sara and Dave
I really do love a good winter portrait session. Sara and Dave decided to take their wedding portraits at one of my favorite parks in Boulder, Chautauqua Park. This is a location that I frequent for all sorts of sessions and it never gets old. One of the best things about it, is that it is accessible year round regardless of weather. Having a wedding at chautauqua park is beautiful anytime of the year. I have to give Sara and Dave mad props though, because this was one of the coldest days in December and they powered through for these photos. I am pretty sure we all thought that our fingers were going to freeze off by the end of the session. It was entirely worth the cold though!

Photographing at Chautauqua Park
As a photographer here in Colorado, you have to make sure you are aware of areas that require permits to shoot commercially. Chautauqua Park Portrait Sessions do require a photo permit in order to work here. If you are a boulder wedding photographer or any photographer in this state, and want to shoot on OSMP property you can CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR PERMIT. There is an “apply for a commercial use permit” section if you scroll down. Any clients that are planning a Wedding at Chautauqua Park are encouraged to rent out their lawn if they plan to have more than just a few guests, as elopements on the trails really need to be kept to under 10 people including vendors.
