A Little Rock Courthouse Wedding
Some wedding days are special because of the people you meet, and others are special because of the people you’ve loved your entire life. This one was both.
This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of photographing my best friend’s Little Rock Courthouse Wedding in Arkansas. We’ve been best friends for 33 years, and she is truly more like a sister to me. When I say I have no words for how special this day was, I mean it. We started the morning getting ready at The Capital Hotel in downtown Little Rock, where the timeless architecture and old-world charm made the perfect setting for such a meaningful day.
Oh and the best part? Tomorrow, I’m hopping on a flight to Mexico for her three-day wedding celebration in Guanajuato! I get to celebrate this incredible woman all over again, and I already know it’s going to be unforgettable.
Thirty-three years of friendship, and somehow, we’re still making the sweetest memories together.
Getting Married at the Little Rock Courthouse
After they got ready, we headed to the Pulaski County Courthouse, and WOW. If you’re considering a Little Rock Courthouse Wedding, prepare to be blown away. The historic building features a stunning stained-glass dome, a two-story rotunda, and incredible architectural details that make it an unforgettable place to exchange vows.
A little planning advice for future couples: courthouse weddings here are first come, first served, with no reserved time slots. On a Friday afternoon, we were navigating around approximately six other wedding parties during our hour there! It was chaotic, but absolutely worth it. If you’re planning a Little Rock Courthouse Wedding, make sure to build extra cushion into your timeline to account for potential delays.
We wrapped up portraits at the Arkansas State Capitol, and I honestly couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. From the gold-leaf dome and massive bronze doors to the marble interiors and intricate details, this place is a photographer’s dream.
We spent 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. slowly moving through the day, documenting the little details, quiet moments, and everything in between. It was the perfect reminder that even a simple city elopement can deserve five or more hours of photography coverage. Not every elopement needs to fit into a 2 hour minimum. If you value photography and this is a vendor you want to prioritize, I highly suggest at least half day coverage even with an elopement.
I’d love to photograph your Denver Courthouse Wedding!
As a wedding photographer, I love days like this. You don’t need a huge guest list or an elaborate production to create something unforgettable. Whether you’re planning an intimate courthouse ceremony or dreaming of portraits at the Colorado State Capitol, I would be honored to photograph the Denver courthouse wedding you may be planning. I can help you preserve every meaningful moment without making the day feel rushed or overly produced.
If you’re searching for a Denver courthouse wedding photographer who values genuine connection, beautiful architecture, and the in-between moments just as much as the big ones, I’d love to help you tell your story.
