Boho Chic Wedding at The River Bend in Lyon’s Colorado.
Oh my goodness. This River Bend Wedding in Lyons is just stunning. I just have to say how incredibly happy I am to have been chosen to shoot such a beautiful wedding. And with such an amazing group of people. Savannah and Bryce really are just so incredible. They have been together 7 years, and have the most epic adventurous personalities. Savannah has this genuinely good heart. She is so kind and is always thinking of others. She made sure that during their reception the band played her mom and dads song, as they didn’t get to have a proper first dance at their wedding. So ,she gave them a first dance at hers. I literally cried when the band announced for her parents to come to the dance floor and surprised them with their own first dance. It was literally the sweetest thing ever to watch.
There were also some major southern vibes going on at this wedding. It felt like I was back home in Texas drinking the best sweet tea I have had since moving out here to Colorado. And the BBQ catered through Lulu’s was so good! If you’re looking for some good bbq for your wedding, they’re the ones to call!
The River Bend Is such a great location for a wedding, where do I even begin?! The bridal suite where the girls get ready is a total glamping tent and makes for some pretty amazing prep photos. The venue is located right on the edge of the North St. Vrain Creek and makes for such a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding day. If you’re having your wedding there in the summer, you will also probably get some random tubers floating by while you dance away the evening. Its a pretty awesome location to say the least.
When I first arrived to the venue, I went around and captured my detail shots as normal, and noticed these awesome gold geometric shapes hanging behind their ceremony arbor. Come to find out, Savannah hand made all of those out of straws!! I was blown away at how much she put into making the look of her wedding come together so perfectly. The arbor and florals were provided by the Farmette, and it was stunning!!! On site, The River Bend has tiny homes that you can stay in, called Wee Casa. They made for such a cool portrait spot later on that evening. Many of their guests rented out those homes so they could have the convenience of walking right back to where they were staying.
Speaking of the guests, They had some of the coolest thank you favors I have seen in a long time. They were rocks that you hammered apart to reveal some gorgeous crystals. She even went and found marble napkins to go with the whole geode and natural theme of her day. It all came together so beautifully. Savannah and Bryce hired Georgia with Dahlia Designs to coordinate their day and she was absolutely amazing to work with and made sure the day ran perfectly. Just check it out for yourselves…
