Denver Colorado Elopement at Mount Falcon

Mount Falcon Denver Colorado Elopement

Laura + Dustin’s Mount Falcon Elopement

Ok guys, so these two eloped on top of Mt. Falcon near Morrison Colorado. It just might have been the sweetest thing I have ever witnessed. First off, I am such a sucker for small intimate weddings. They are my absolute favorite thing to photograph as they can be so personal. Second, I don’t think I have ever cried at a ceremony as much as this one.. Laura and Dustin are from Maine and even though they recently moved to Texas, they decided to meet their closest friends and immediate family out here in Colorado to tie the knot. This Denver Colorado Elopement was absolute perfection in so many ways.

Mount Falcon Park

When I look back at this day,  they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location for their Denver Colorado Elopement.  The views were stunning from up on the West side of Mount Falcon. The weather was warm for an October evening. Something that often doesn’t happen. If any of you reading this have been following me for a while, than you know that Mount falcon is a favorite location to shoot at for me. (You can check out this other Mount Falcon Family Session Here!)

Laura and Dustin wrote their own vows and Dustin even made Laura’s bouquet for her. HE MADE IT! What!? How many grooms do you know of who have made the bouquet for their bride?! I thought that was the coolest ever. And he did an amazing job. It was so sweet hearing about how he put it together. During their ceremony they started reading the most heartwarming vows I have ever heard and we were literally all crying. I was crying and I don’t often cry. It was so beautiful. After the ceremony we headed down the mountain to do their bride and groom portraits at Red Rocks.

Red Rocks Park

Red Rocks Park is an iconic Denver, Colorado location that is PERFECT for a Denver Colorado Elopement Portrait Session. We adventured all around the park for about an hour after their Mount Falcon Elopement ceremony until sunset and captured some really sweet moments between the two of them. You cannot go wrong shooting at Red Rocks. And now, if you have under 5 people in the party you are photographing, the city of Denver no longer requires a permit for shooting on the trails there. Which is an amazing plus if you are a photographer in the Denver area.
