Snowy Colorado Engagement Session in Rocky Mountain National Park

Hannah + Jesse

Winter time in Colorado is absolutely magical. Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) might be one of the most picturesque spots within fairly close proximity to Denver. And in the winter time, RMNP makes for a gorgeous backdrop for those romantic snowy Colorado engagement sessions. The park is open year round, and the crowds are way less in the winter time. This makes it a wonderful location for winter engagement photos in Colorado. It is by far one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions here in Colorado, which is why I featured it in my blog post on the Best Engagement Session locations in Colorado

Winter Engagement Session in Colorado

This particular day we got so lucky with gorgeous sunny weather. While it was a bit windy for the first half of the session, we were so thankful for that sunshine. Bear lake sits at roughly 9,500 feet elevation and freezes over in the winter time, making it a unique location for your session. These snowy colorado engagement photos were taken in early March when the lake is fully frozen over. With the view of Hallett peak in the background and the blanket of snow on the ground, Bear Lake made for the perfect location for this session. Like all of my sessions, we explored around a few different areas. However I think Bear Lake will forever be my favorite Winter Colorado Engagement Session location.

What better way to take engagement photos than to run around on a frozen lake!? Hannah and Jesse are the freeking cutest and I just love everything about them. They are the kind of people you just want to be friends with and have this energy about them that makes everyone smile. Adventuring around RMNP together was so fun, take a look…
