Traveling for weddings has become one of my favorite parts of this job. It takes me to some really amazing places. South Lake Tahoe being one of my favorite destination spots so far.

This adorable venue suited Katlin and Kyle perfectly. Tucked in the quaint woods of South Lake Tahoe, the RHR venue is perfect for any intimate gathering. Katlin and Kyle invited their closest friends and family to witness them exchanging vows. It was such a magical day from start to finish. Both Katlin and Kyle are actors and have traveled all over performing side by side. Their personalities are so vibrant. They walk into the room and they become the life of the party. Working with them and photographing their wedding was so much fun. Not to mention the River House Retreat in South Lake Tahoe is such a wonderful place for a wedding. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an intimate location for their wedding.

A DIY California Wedding

We began with getting ready photos at the River House Retreat. Their family was getting everything set up just perfectly for the two of them. And it was absolutely beautiful. This South Lake Tahoe wedding was fully set up by their friends and family. From the decor to the bridal bouquet. When the ceremony started, the sun was coming through the trees while Katlin’s Dad officiated. Every moment of that ceremony was personal, and perfect. When the ceremony ended, we adventured up to Echo Lake. An alpine lake located a few minutes from the venue. It was the perfect spot for their bride and groom portraits.

We returned to the River House Retreat to such an amazing party. There was dancing and singing and so much laughter. So many of their friends are also actors and have such outgoing personalities. They absolutely know how to throw a party. And talk about cool people… They have some of t
he most amazing humans as friends, and you could tell that they were all so genuine. They came from all over the place to be with them at their wedding. It was definitely a perfect day.
