A Bonnie Blues Event Venue Wedding Day
Wow… That’s truly the word that comes to mind when I look through the images from last weekends wedding. WOW. It was such a gorgeous day with some truly incredible people. This Bonnie Blues Event Venue Wedding was one for the books. And I am so thankful that Abi and Josh trusted me to capture all the fun moments for them. I have been very inspired lately but vogue magazine and I wanted to reflect a little bit of that style into their wedding photos. It was the best day.
I want to start off also by mentioning how impressed I was with the venue itself. Bonnie Blues Event Venue is located just outside of Denver, CO in a town called Elizabeth. It has rustic yet modern vibes that really bring a unique beauty to this area. Honestly, it reminded me a lot of the type of Venue I shot at down in Texas alot. Kind of a chic country vibe. Which is few and far between for here in Colorado. Talk about one gorgeous venue that makes for a great location for your wedding! If you are looking into wedding venues in Colorado I definitely recommend them. Also, I have this EPIC LIST OF THE TOP COLORADO WEDDING VENUES that you can all check out!
Abi and Josh’s Bonnie Blues Wedding
I met Abi through her mom, who is also a photographer here in Colorado. Her mom reached out to me and told me that her daughter got engaged and asked if I was free for the wedding. And I was SO ecstatic. I got to have a quick meeting with Abi and knew that we would be such a good fit for each other. Her vision for her Bonnie Blues Wedding was whimsical and romantic and it pulled together so beautifully.
On the wedding day, it was so entirely sweet seeing them interact with each other. You could just tell that josh completely and utterly adores Abi. And they were absolute troopers. We went from having a gorgeous sunny day up until the ceremony to extremely windy and stormy. By the time we went out for their couples portraits we were just about blown over by the wind. Yet they didn’t let it phase them at all. We embraced the elements and shot some super romantic windy wedding portraits.
I am telling you guys, if it is windy outside… and I do not mean slightly windy, i mean like push you over barely can walk windy… DON’T PANIC. Just go out there and embrace it. It’s your wedding day and it’s worth documenting even those crazy moments. Plus, if you are having a Bonnie Blues Event Venue Wedding you can utilize not just the outside but also the covered patio that wraps the main building. As well as the inside of all buildings on site. It is just as gorgeous. Their interior truly makes for some gorgeous shooting spaces.
Just a little Rain on Your Wedding Day
Eventually the storm came and it was intense. Luckily by that time we were all inside for the reception enjoying an amazing dinner. And just as we finished the toasts the rain let up and allowed us to still have their first look outside under the string lights. It was the perfect first dance and that string light patio is one of the best things about Bonnie Blues Event Venue Weddings. It is such a gorgeous set up. And before their first look, Abi and Josh had what we call a “sparkler entrance” onto the dance floor. It’s basically like a sparkler exit but instead of doing it at the end of the night, they did it before their first dance as a way to make an entrance onto the dance floor. It was so romantic! And off in the distance heat lightning would light up the sky. Talk about the best way to start off the night of dancing!
