LGBT COUPLES SESSION IN RMNP

For Years I have been wanting a couple to come with me on this gorgeous hike up to Loch Lake in RMNP. Taking photos here has always been a plan of mine. The trick was finding a couple who was willing to hike 6 miles for it. Finally, I was able to make that happen. Henri and Nick came all the way across the country by car to spend some time in Estes Park. Henri mentioned to me that all they wanted was to hike and be outside enjoying the scenery. I brought up the idea of hiking this trail for their Rocky Mountain National Park Couples Session and they were both all for it.

LOCH LAKE TRAIL

The Loch Lake via Glacier Gorge Trail. This is a steady uphill trail that goes up about 1100 feet in elevation. While that doesn’t seem like much, hiking at above 9k feet the elevation can definitely get to you! I always suggest that anyone that isn’t acclimated take some time to get used to the elevation and prep by drinking tons of water in the days leading up to your hike. When hiking with couples for sessions, I usually allow for 1 hour per mile so that we have time to take breaks and stop to take gorgeous photos along the way. For this Rocky Mountain National Park Couples Session, we started at Bear Lake trailhead and made our way from there.

This trail is one of my favorites because there are so many different views and changes of scenery throughout it just never gets boring or repetitive. We got on the trail around 1Pm and took our time getting up there. All in all, this adventure RMNP couples session with hiking included took around 4 hours. We explored waterfalls, rivers, and ended at Loch Lake. Which In my opinion, is the best part of this hike. One of my other favorite places in RMNP is over by Alluvial Fan and up on Trail Ridge.
