Family Session at Prairie Creek Park by Denver Family Photographer

One of the greatest joys of being a Denver family photographer is building long-term relationships with families and documenting their story as it unfolds. This family session was especially meaningful because it was with a repeat client I’ve had the honor of photographing multiple times over the years when I come home to Dallas.

Although this particular session took place in Richardson, Texas at Prairie Creek Park, my approach to family photography remains the same no matter the location. Prairie Creek Park is easily one of my favorite spots in North Dallas, offering peaceful trails, tall grasses, and stunning natural light. I almost exclusively photograph sessions here at sunrise, when the park is quiet and the light is soft, glowy, and incredibly dreamy.

Because this family and I have worked together before, the session felt effortless and relaxed. The kids were free to explore, parents leaned into the moment, and those authentic, in-between interactions became the highlights of the gallery. Repeat family sessions like this allow me to capture not just how a family looks, but how they connect.
