Pet Portraits with Stephen, Hayley, Sheldon & Janie | Prairie Creek Park
While I love capturing pet photography in Denver, it is so fun going home to Texas and getting to reconnect with past wedding clients there. It is always such a joy—and this pet photography session with Stephen and Hayley felt extra special. I photographed their wedding back in 2021, and when they reached out about photos with their two dogs, Sheldon and Janie, I was so excited to see them again and capture this new chapter.
We met at Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, Texas, a spot with beautiful trails, wooded areas, and that dreamy creek-side waterfall backdrop. Sheldon and Janie brought all the vibes—Sheldon with his expressive little face (that tongue!) and Janie with her loyal, calm energy. They were a perfect pair, and watching the way Stephen and Hayley interacted with them made it easy to see just how loved these pups are. While I am now doing pet photography in Denver, I still occasionally make it back to Texas for fun sessions like these. So don’t hesitate to reach out if you want pet photos in the North Texas area.
One tip I always recommend for sessions with multiple pets: bring a helper! Whether it’s a friend, family member, or dog-sitter, having someone there who won’t be in the photos can be a huge help—especially when it comes to wrangling leashes, getting attention, or giving the dogs a break between shots. It keeps things running smoothly and lets you stay relaxed and present in your photos. Hayley brought her mom along to help wrangle the pups and it was great having her there.
