Mid-April weddings in Colorado can be a gamble, but Eric and Lauren truly hit the jackpot on their Wellshire Event Center Wedding day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous—blue skies, warm sunshine, and not a single snowflake in sight. For a spring wedding in Denver, that’s about as lucky as it gets. Their day was relaxed, joyful, and filled with so many meaningful moments, making it such a beautiful celebration to be part of.

I have always loved photographing a Wellshire Event Center Wedding, and this one reminded me exactly why. Opening in the 1920s, the venue is rich with history and charm. Its Tudor-style aesthetic, unique architectural details, and timeless character honestly make it feel like you’ve stepped into a European estate. Nestled on the Wellshire Golf Course in South Denver, it offers lush scenery while still being incredibly close to the city—perfect for couples who want an elegant setting without traveling far.

One of the standout features of the venue is their stunning indoor tent setup for ceremonies. Colorado weather can be unpredictable, but at a Wellshire Event Center Wedding, you never have to stress. It’s the perfect backup plan that still feels intentional, romantic, and beautifully designed.

Eric and Lauren also included two of my favorite elements ever. 1…. Their dog! I am such a fan of couples bringing their fur-babies into their wedding day, and we captured the sweetest portraits with their pup. It added so much personality and joy to their gallery. And 2… Private vows to each other. I love when couples do this because it just feels so utterly personal.

On this day, I was second shooting for Keri Geha Photography, a dear friend and incredibly talented photographer. I handled much of cocktail hour along with time spent with the groom and groomsmen, which is always such a fun part of the day.
