DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS WEDDING
Shai and James

Shai and James’ Denver Botanic Garden wedding was one I’ll never forget. The day may have brought buckets of rain, but these two didn’t let the weather dampen their spirits for a second. They embraced it fully, laughing through the raindrops and savoring every single moment. What could have been a stressful situation turned into something beautiful, thanks to their incredible attitudes and the amazing team behind the scenes. I always tell my couples, if it rains we will roll with it! We wont let rain get us down.
Originally, dinner was planned to be outside, but when lightning rolled in, the staff at Denver Botanic Gardens pulled off a flawless last-minute transition to an indoor space. They truly knocked it out of the park and kept everything running seamlessly. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Donnah with Poised Events in Denver. She’s one of my absolute favorite planners to work with, and she did an incredible job making sure everything stayed on track. She’s now splitting her time between San Diego and Denver, so if you’re planning a wedding in SoCal, she’s your girl!
A Beautiful Wedding Day
One of the most memorable parts of this Denver Botanic Garden wedding was the ceremony. There was such a deep outpouring of love—it actually brought me to tears behind the camera. Family traveled all the way from Israel and Australia to be part of this special day. And even those who couldn’t attend were still present in spirit; one grandparent recorded a heartfelt message in Hebrew that was played during the ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Later, the celebration continued at Marnie’s Pavilion. After heartfelt toasts, Shai’s mom surprised everyone by singing “I Loved Him First,” a moment that melted everyone’s hearts. Then, the hora kicked off the dancing, and the energy was electric. Shai and James’ Denver Botanic Garden wedding was a perfect example of love shining through no matter the weather.
