Hayley and Stephens Pet Family Session
Some sessions just feel like coming home. I know this one truly did. Even though I’m now based in Denver, Colorado, this pet portrait session was photographed in McKinney, Texas while I was home visiting in December. As a photographer who loves Denver Pet Photography, I am so excited when my work allows me to reconnect with longtime clients who want to capture the love with their pets.
Hayley and Stephen are very special to me. I first photographed their engagement session back in 2020, followed by their wedding in 2021. Since then, I’ve had the joy of documenting pet family sessions with them. Over the years, their love for their fur-babies has only grown, and they truly believe in documenting every season of life—especially the ones with those who have four legs and give unconditional love.

This weekend at home was cold, foggy, and moody—my absolute favorite kind of weather to shoot in. The fog rolled in thick, softening the landscape and creating such an intimate, cinematic feel for these portraits. I had ten sessions that weekend, and each one was incredible in its own way, but sessions like this remind me why I fell in love with storytelling through photography in the first place.
Even though this session took place in Texas, my heart and business live in Denver Pet Photography, where capturing the bond between people and their pets is such an important part of what I do. No matter the location, the connection, emotion, and trust remain the same.
