South Lake Tahoe Day After Session

Katlin and Kyle’s wedding weekend in South Lake Tahoe was nothing short of magical. After their intimate DIY celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family, they decided to take advantage of the stunning scenery and planned a South Lake Tahoe day after session. I love when couples extend the celebration with photos in such a breathtaking location—it gives us space to slow down, soak in the views, and create even more memories.
We started at Secret Cove, one of Tahoe’s hidden gems. The wind picked up that afternoon, sending ripples of choppy waves across the normally calm water. Instead of shying away from it, Katlin and Kyle embraced the energy of the day, laughing as the wind caught her hair and the waves crashed against the rocks. Their playful spirits made every moment feel effortless—they’re the kind of people who radiate joy and are such vibrant humans to be around.
From there, we headed to Cave Rock for sunset. This is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Tahoe. The wind lingered, adding an adventurous feel as golden light spilled across the lake. While Cave Rock can get a little crowded at sunset, it’s always worth it for the epic views. Katlin and Kyle leaned into the magic of the moment, taking in the kind of golden-hour glow that makes a South Lake Tahoe engagement session unforgettable.
South Lake Tahoe continues to be one of my all-time favorite places to photograph, and Katlin and Kyle’s session is a perfect reminder why. Between the dreamy views, the playful wind and waves, and the undeniable love these two share, this day-after session will always stand out as a favorite.
