Pre-Wedding Magic with Emmy & Spencer at Mount Falcon West

Emmy and Spencer brought the sweetest energy with them all the way from Missouri for their Colorado Wedding at Mountain View Ranch Lakeview. I was lucky enough to not just shoot their wedding, but also photograph them the day before. We decided to carve out a little time for a pre-wedding mountain chic portrait session at one of my favorite spots: Mount Falcon West Park, just outside of Denver.

These two embodied mountain country chic vibes in the best way. Emmy wore a stunning two-piece lace dress that was both elegant and modern—total mountain country chic attire perfection. Spencer kept things laid-back and classic, perfectly complementing her look. The whole session felt so true to them.

We had our eyes on the weather forecast all week, and while rain was a possibility, the clouds ended up being a blessing. The cooler temperatures and diffused light created the dreamiest atmosphere for their Mount Falcon couples session. Honestly, the soft skies and moody foothills made everything feel that much more romantic.

There’s something incredibly special about taking time for portraits before the wedding day hustle. Emmy and Spencer were relaxed, present, and fully enjoying the moment together—which absolutely shows in their photos. Their Mount Falcon couples session gave them a chance to breathe, soak in the excitement, and connect with each other before everything unfolded the next day.

I’ve done many Mount Falcon couples sessions, but this might be one of my favorites. The mix of stunning scenery, the storm clouds moving through, heartfelt connection, and effortless style made it unforgettable.
