Rustic Lace Barn Wedding in Colorado Springs
Rustic meets romantic at this gorgeous Rustic Lace Barn wedding I shot earlier this month. Rachel and Jason are just so smitten together and you can tell through every image from their wedding. Their day started with a nearly 60% chance of rain all day long. Like true colorado weather, the rain held off all day! Just in time to get their party started and all their portraits taken.
GARDEN OF THE GODS PORTRAITS
One of the best things about the Rustic Lace Barn, is its proximity to Garden of the Gods. It was super important to both Rachel and Jason to be able to take their portraits here. Being 4th of July weekend, I knew the crowds would be horrible. So we entered through the side entrance and adventured up behind Balanced Rock to capture their stunning portraits. This is such a good spot for photos because its not super saturated with people. The cloudy skies made for some of the most beautiful wedding portraits!
RAIN ON YOUR WEDDING DAY
Rain on your wedding day absolutely is good luck. And it just makes for some really gorgeous lighting so of course, I am a huge fan of some rainy wedding days. We made it back to the venue after their romantics and we were a little worried as the skies were getting darker. However the rain held off not just though their ceremony, but also through majority of cocktail hour. This allowed us to capture even more great portraits on property. The Rustic Lace Barn property is so diverse!! Its seriously kind of a photographers dream spot.
