This Reception… Holy moly what an awesome evening! Such a good night in a bad ass venue with an amazing couple. Lindsey and Blake are two of the most creative and unique people I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. Lindsey owns her own floral company, moonpenny’s, based out of Denver. She is full of creativity and absolutely amazing ideas. She created all the gorgeous florals for their reception. Blake is just as creative in his own musical way. He is in a Latin-Ska band as well as a Punk Rock band. Both of which kick some major ass. These two already had an intimate ceremony with their closest loved ones, and needed to be able to celebrate their love with the rest of their favorites. They chose a venue that couldn’t have been more suited for the both of them. Syntax Physic Opera. I will quote from their website, as I can’t think of a better line to describe it, “This is a love poem to 1860’s Denver. A living museum.” Syntax is a place where creatives can come together and mesh in their awesomeness, drink from their bar, relax and collect. The original syntax is a 10+ year old publication of literary, art, and music review. The Syntax Physic Opera is the physical manifestation of this publication, a forum for local artists and musicians. From their dark and moody ambiance to their eccentric basement to the animal skeletons hanging from their ceiling, this location is the perfect venue for any creatives seeking somewhere outside of the norm with an artsy vibe and vintage feel. Lindsey and Blake and I were able to utilize the spaces provided by Syntax as well as the grungy areas outdoors to create some amazing portraits of the two of them. I cannot be more excited to share their evening with you!
